nephrocystosis

An obsolete term for any cystic disease that affects the kidneys, e.g.:
(1) Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease, see there; 
(2) Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, see there; 
(3) Medullary sponge kidney, see there;
(4) Multicystic dysplasia of kidney;
(5) Renal cyst, not otherwise specified.
