Monastyrishche

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Monastyrishche Raion, Cherkassy Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, located 6 km from the Monastyrishche station on the Khristinovka-Kazatin railroad line. Boilermaking and cart-building factories, an asphalt plant, a brickyard, and a milling combine operate in Monastyrishche. A museum of history and local lore is also there.
