Monastyriska

a city; center of Monastyriska Raion, Ternopol’ Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, on the Koropets River (a tributary of the Dnestr), 19 km from the Buchach terminus of the railroad branch line from the Biala-Chertkovska station (on the Ternopol’-Chernovtsy line). The city has a tobacco fermentation plant, a dairy, and a household-goods factory.
