biphenotypic leukaemia
biphenotypic leukaemia
A clonal expansion of 2 or more leukocyte populations, which occur in up to one-third of adult leukaemias with lymphoid and myeloid differentiation.Prognosis
BLs have fewer complete remissions (30% for biphenotypic vs 70% for pure lymphocytic leukaemias) and reduced survival (8 vs 26 months). ALLs that co-express myeloid antigens have a poor prognosis.
