Multiaddress Communications Service
(Russian, tsirkuliarnaia sviaz’), a telecommunications service by which a message transmitted from one point is received simultaneously at several other points. Multiaddress communications services are routed through telephone and telegraph networks to provide such services as conference cable transmission, multiaddress data transmission, and telephone conference calls (seeSELECTIVE TELEPHONE COMMUNICATIONS). Multiaddress communications services are frequently used within an industry to provide traffic-control communications or as part of a teletypewriter exchange service.
