Naktong
Naktong
a river on the Korean Peninsula, in South Korea. It is 524 km long and drains an area of approximately 24,000 sq km. The Naktong originates on the southwestern slopes of the East Korea Mountains; it flows into the Korea Strait. The mean flow rate at the river’s mouth is 380 cu m per sec. The river is navigable for 340 km. The cities of Andong and, near the mouth, Pusan, are located on the Naktong.
