Location:16 miles northwest of Mountainair via NM 55 and 131.
Facilities:37 developed campsites (8 with electric hookups), restrooms (é), picnic area, group shelter, hiking trails, nature trail.
Activities:Camping, hiking, birding, wildlife viewing, cross-country skiing.
Special Features:Park is set in a forest of ponderosa pine, Gambel's oak, and alligatorjuniper, which provide a rich habitat for a variety of wildlife. Inaddition, the park is situated along an important raptor flyway and hasa field checklist available for visitors who enjoy birding. Park is closed from November through early April.
