Lovewell State Park
Location:14 miles northeast of Mankato, in northern Jewell County.
Facilities:23 campsites with full hookups, 13 sites with water and electrichookups, 82 campsites with electrical only, 306 primitive non-utilitysites, 6 semi-modern cabins, 4 shower/toilet buildings, 2 vaulttoilets, fish cleaning stations, picnic areas, playground, sandvolleyball, softball diamond, horseshoe pits, group shelter, swimmingbeach, marina, 6 boat ramp lanes, 4 courtesy docks, archery range,trails, historic landmark, visitor center.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, wildlife viewing.
Special Features:Park hosts fishing tournaments and various other special eventsthroughout the year, including a Kids Fishing Derby in early June,fireworks and a sand castle contest in July, and a Lovewell Fun Day inAugust. Church services are held at the historic limestone schoolhouse at the park during the summer months.
