Koitash

an urban-type settlement in Galliaaral Raion, Dzhizak Oblast, Uzbek SSR; located 38 km northwest of the Galliaaral railroad station (on the Samarkand-Khavast line), with which it is linked by highway. Population, 7,200 (1971). Tungsten and molybdenum ores are mined and dressed in Koitash.
