Kokcha
a river in northeastern Afghanistan; left tributary of the Panj. Length, approximately 360 km (measured from the source of the Munjan River). The average annual discharge is approximately 180 eu m per sec. High water occurs in spring and summer. The river flows primarily in the gorges of the northern slopes of the Hindu Kush. Its water is used for irrigation. The city of Feyzabad is in the Kokcha valley.
