Milk stoolA short stool used to sit on while milking. While milk stools are usually shown as short three-legged stools, they often had only one leg and were made from lumber scraps, e.g. a ten-inch length of two-by-six nailed to a short section of four-by-four or firewood. That one leg, along with the two of the milker, comprised a stable support.milk stool
