Mononeuritis multiplex, Mononeuropathy multiplex Neurology A peripheral neuropathy with simultaneous or sequential damage of 2 or more nerve groups or regions; with time, damage is less multifocal and more symmetric, resembling polyneuropathy Etiology Idiopathic, polyarteritis nodosa, connective tissue disease–eg, rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, Sjögren syndrome, Wegener's granulomatosis, hypersensitivity vasculitis, leprosy, sarcoidosis, amyloidosis, diabetic neuropathy, hypereosinophilia, cryoglobulinemia.
