Levi, Isaac

(1930– ) philosopher; born in New York City. After earning a doctorate from Columbia University (1957) and teaching at Case Western Reserve (1957–62, 1964–70) and City College of New York (1962–64), he became a professor at Columbia in 1970. His main interests were the philosophies of science and social science. His works include Gambling With Truth (1967).
