Korab


Korab

 

(also Korabi), a mountain range on the border of Yugoslavia and Albania, between the Radika valley in the east and the Black Drin valley in the west. The range is composed primarily of metamorphized limestones. The maximum elevation is 2,764 m. There are traces of ancient glaciation on the mountain peaks. The range is covered with beech, oak, and pine. Mountain pastures are located at elevations above 2,000 m.
