Location:Islands in the lower Columbia River in western Oregon.
Facilities:Boat launch.
Activities:Boating, canoeing, fishing, hunting.
Special Features:Estuarine waters provide vital food resources for juvenile salmon as they pause to become acclimated to salt water before entering the Pacific Ocean. Bald eagles are present year round and have established 30-35 active nest sites.
Habitats: 35,000 acres of tidelands and open water with 8,313 acres of islands and sand bars.
Access: Open during daylight hours; accessible only by boat.
Wild life: Tundra swans, ducks, harbor seals, sea lions, river otter, weasels, beaver and fish.
