an urban-type settlement, administrative center of Miloslavskii Raion, Riazan’ Oblast, RSFSR. A railroad station on the Pavelets-Ranenburg line, with a bus route to Riazan’. Industries include a distillery, a dairy, a livestock sovkhoz, and a poultry hatchery. Brown coal is mined in the region.
