(storage)(MMCD) A CD-ROM standard for storing 4.7 GB ofdata including video. MMCD is being developed by a largenumer of computer manufacturers and is expected to be shippedin late 1996 or early 1997. Initially it will be aimed at theconsumer market, then perhaps in CD-ROM format forcomputers, and maybe later on erasble CD.
