Established: 1991.
Location:South of Pacific City, Oregon, just off Highway 101.
Facilities:Wildife viewing sites.
Special Features:The southernmost coastal sphagnum bog habitat on the Pacific Coast is contained in the refuge's Neskowin Marsh unit. This rare ecosystem is home to unusual plant species such as the carnivorous sundew.
Habitats: 850 acres of tidal saltmarsh, mudflats, freshwater bogs, pasturelands, grasslands, and forested lagg.
Access: Closed to all public use.
Wild life: Dusky Canada goose and Aleutian cackling goose. It is also an important rest stop for migrating shorebirds and other waterfowl and is used by peregrine falcons and the bald eagle.
