Low-Wire Entanglements

Low-Wire Entanglements

ground-level wire entanglements.

Low-wire entanglements were used against infantry in World War I (1914-18) and World War II (1939-45). Types of low-wire entanglements include wire networks on low wood and metal stakes, spiral networks, snares, loops, trip wires, and networks of smooth, fine steel wire (they can also be an obstacle against means of transportation). Low-wire entanglements are installed (spread out) 25-30 cm above the ground and cannot be seen even from close range.
