NUDT10

NUDT10

A gene on chromosome Xp11.23 that encodes a hydrolase which cleaves a beta-phosphate from the diphosphate groups in PP-InsP5, suggesting that it plays a role in signal transduction. NUDT10 hydrolyses dinucleoside oligophosphates Ap6A, yielding ADP and p4a, and Ap5A, yielding ADP and ATP. It is also a less preferred gene symbol for what is now designated as NUDT9, see there.
