Krasivaia Mecha

a river in Tula and Lipetsk oblasts, RSFSR: a right tributary of the Don. The river flows through the eastern part of the Central Russian Upland. It is fed predominantly by snow. High water occurs in March and April. The mean flow rate at 22 km from the river’s mouth is 30.2 cu m/sec; the greatest flow rate is 1,360 cu m/sec. The river freezes over in November and early December and thaws at the end of March and beginning of April. The city of Efremov is located on the river.
