Kondrat’eva, Marina Viktorovna

 

Born Feb. 1, 1934, in Leningrad. Soviet ballerina. People’s Artist of the USSR (1976). Member of the CPSU since 1961.

Kondrat’eva, a pupil of G. P. Petrova, graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School in 1952 and was accepted into the company of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. Her parts have included Aurora in Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty, the title role in Adam’s Giselle, the title role in Prokofiev’s Cinderella, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, also by Prokofiev, and Magnolia in K. Khachaturian’s Cipollino.

Kondrat’eva has been awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and medals.
