Krasnogvardeiskoe

(until 1945, Kurman-Kemel’chi), an urban-type settlement and center of the Krasnogvardeiskoe Raion, Crimean Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, 25 km south of the town of Dzhankoi. Railroad station (Urozhainaia) on the Dzhankoi-Simferopol’ line. It has two wineries (one of which also produces juices) and a dairy. There also are other local industries.
