Krasnyi Kholm

a city, the administrative center of Krasnyi Kholm Raion, Kalinin Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Neledina River (Volga basin). Krasnyi Kholm has a railroad station on the Sonkovo-Pestovo line 175 km northeast of Kalinin, with which it is linked by highway. Flax-processing enterprises are there. The city has an agricultural technicum and a museum of local lore. It was founded in 1776.
