Na Putiakh k Novoi Shkole
(On the Road to a New School), one of the first Soviet pedagogical journals, published from 1922 to 1933 in Moscow.
Between 1922 and 1930 the journal was the organ of the pedagogical section of the State Academic Council. From 1930 to 1932 it was issued jointly by the People’s Commissariat for Education of the RSFSR and the Society of Marxist Educators, and in 1932–33 it was the organ of the Society of Marxist Educators. Its editor in chief was N. K. Krupskaia.
The journal aimed at enlisting educators in the task of working out democratic ways of creating the new Soviet school system. It explained the policies of the Communist Party and the Soviet government toward public education and examined the problems of developing Soviet pedagogy and teaching practices. Among prominent educators who contributed to the journal were P. P. Blonskii, B. V. Vsesviatskii, S. T. Shatskii, A. G. Kalashnikov, and M. I. Pistrak.
