Liaison Aviation

auxiliary aviation that provides communication between various commanding and liaison echelons and staffs. Liaison aviation consists of separate units which are organic to large units. It is equipped with light aircraft and helicopters that are used for transporting liaison commands and officers, especially during military maneuvers. Specially equipped helicopters may be used as mobile command posts, as well as for radio relays and for laying wire communication lines in inaccessible localities.
