The richest members of society are given much greater leeway to bend or break the rules of law, while those without money or influence face much harsher consequences. Oh, come on! The only reason he's being allowed to leave with just a warning is because his daddy owns half the city! One law for the rich and another for the poor, isn't that always the way? Prov. Rich people are sometimes able to escape without punishment when they commit crimes, while poor people are usually punished. It doesn't seem fair—rich people can avoid paying their taxes and not get in trouble, but poor people are always punished if they don't pay.
