Krestovyi Pass
(also Gudaurskii Pass), a pass through the Vodorazdel’nyi Range of the Greater Caucasus, from the Terek River valley to the Aragvi River valley. Elevation, 2,379 m. The Georgian Military Road (Ordzhonikidze-Tbilisi) runs through the pass. The pass acquired its name in 1824 from a stone cross placed to indicate its apex.
