Narovlia

a city since 1971, administrative center of Narovlia Raion, Gomel’ Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. A landing on the right bank of the Pripiat’ River (a tributary of the Dnieper), 25 km from the El’sk station on the Kalinkovichi-Korosten’ railroad line. A construction components plant and various food industry enterprises, including a confectionery factory, are located there. Logging is carried on.
