Kuialnik Liman

a salty estuary in the northwestern part of the Gulf of Odessa in the Black Sea. Length, 28 km; it is separated from the sea by a sand bar up to 3 km wide. The Bol’shoi Kuial’nik River falls into the estuary. Water temperature reaches 28°-30°C; salt content may reach 74.3 parts per thousand. Kuial’nik Liman is used for medical purposes; the Kuial’nik mud resort is on its shores.
