Kumagaya

a city in Japan, in the central part of the island of Honshu, in the prefecture of Saitama. Population, 120,800 (1970 census). Kumagaya is a railroad junction and the site of an airport. The city’s industries include large cement plants, nonferrous metallurgy, the production of electric cables, food and condiments, and woodworking.
