Luan Ho
Luan Ho
a river in China. Rising on the Weich’ang Plateau, the river crosses the Jehol Mountains, forming many rapids, and empties into the Gulf of Chihli (Yellow Sea). The Luan Ho is 877 km long and drains an area of 44,900 sq km; the average water discharge near the mouth is 140 cu m per sec. High water occurs in summer. The river carries a large amount of silt (6.3 kg per cu m). It is navigable for junks.
