Archives of the Russian Revolution

White Russian émigré journal. Published in Berlin by the Kadet leader I. V. Gessen from 1921 to 1937; 22 volumes were published. It printed memoirs of White Russian émigrés and materials and documents on the Great October Revolution and the Civil War. On the whole, the journal was counterrevolutionary. However, in addition to tendentious material that is of no historical value, it published several memoirs and documents that are of a certain interest; for instance, Hard Days (secret sessions of the Council of Ministers from July 16 through September 2, 1915) and V. D. Nabokov’s The Provisional Government.
