NHS Employers’ Organisation

An organisation set up as part of the Department of Health's ongoing Change Management programme, which is to serve as the authoritative voice of workforce leaders and experts in the NHS on employment and human resources issues. The NHS EO draws together NHS employer views on how to implement NHS employment policy frameworks and represent those views nationally, and to support the implementation and delivery of Agenda for Change and the new GP General Medical Services and Consultants’ contracts, negotiating fairly to get the best deal for patients. NHS EO is part of the NHS Confederation.
