NHS Modernisation Agency
An executive agency of the UK Department of Health established in 2001 to support NHS health and social care organisations in their effort to improve and modernise services by identifying and sharing best practice, or intervening when services are poor and failing, and helping organisations get back on track.The Agency works to increase support at a local level by supporting organisations and leaders in new roles, helping to join modernisation activity at a local level, building networks and working towards the establishment of local modernisation support teams and networks in every community.
