a mountain in East Antarctica, in the Transantarctic Mountains, south of the Nimrod glacier. It consists of three peaks, the highest of which has an elevation of 4,351 m. It was discovered in 1902 by the British antarctic expedition led by R. F. Scott and was named by him in honor of C. Markham, the president of the Royal Geographical Society.
