Mark Malinovskii

Malinovskii, Mark Prokhorovich

 

Born 1851 in the village of Pen’kovo-Romanovo, Borisoglebskii District, Yaroslavl Province; died 1877 (1876, according to other sources). Russian worker and revolutionary.

Malinovskii learned to read and write from the village deacon. In 1870 he began working as a metalworker at the Semiannikov Plant in St. Petersburg, where he carried on propaganda among the workers. He was arrested in November 1873. During the inquest he declared his democratic and republican views. The Senate Special Collegium in October 1874 sentenced him to seven years at hard labor. He died in the Belgorod Convict Prison.
