Special Features:A modern museum surrounds the two-room 1830s cabin where author-humorist Samuel Langhorne Clemens (later known as Mark Twain) was born. The museum's exhibits, which include first editions of his books and a handwritten manuscript of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, cover his childhood and his adult life as an author and businessman. In the village of Florida, a red granite monument marks the original location of the cabin. (Also see Mark Twain State Park.)
