Moore, Arthur Cotton

(1935–)Architect in Washington, DC, known for a style called “industrial baroque” and probably best known for the Washington Harbour development on the Potomac River in Georgetown, the newer building of the Phillips Collection in Washington, and the renovation of the Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress. He also led the successful restoration of Washington’s tallest residential building, the Cairo Hotel. He wrote The Powers of Preservation: New Life for Urban Historic Places.
