Novaia

a river in the Taimyr (Dolgano-Nenets) National Okrug, Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR, a left tributary of the Kha-tanga River. The Novaia is 411 km long and drains an area of 16,500 sq km. It flows across the Northern Siberian Lowland. Fed by snow and rain, it abounds in fish, including muksun (Coregonus muksun), nelma (Stenodus leucichthys nelma), and char (Salvelinus).
