Novaia Ladoga

a city in Volkhov Raion, Leningrad Oblast, RSFSR. Landing at the point where the Volkhov River empties into Lake Ladoga. Novaia Ladoga is situated on a highway 25 km north of the Volkhovstroi railroad station (on the Leningrad-Petrozavodsk line). The city has a ship-repair plant, a fish combine, a weaving factory, and a factory producing leather clothing accessories and notions. Novaia Ladoga was founded in the early 18th century.
