Odintsovo

a city (until 1957, a settlement) under oblast jurisdiction; center of Odintsovo Raion, Moscow Oblast, RSFSR. Railroad station 24 km west of Moscow. Population, 72,000 (1974; 13,000 in 1939 and 20,000 in 1959). Odintsovo has combines producing structural components, furniture parts, fire-resistant objects, and household chemicals.
