Niazepetrovsk

a city (since 1944) and administrative center of Niazepetrovsk Raion, Cheliabinsk Oblast, RSFSR. Population, 18,000(1974).

Niazepetrovsk is situated on the Niazia River (tributary of the Ufa). It has a railroad station 339 km northwest of Cheliabinsk. A plant producing construction and road-construction machines is located there, and the city has a woodworking industry. An evening machine-building technicum is located there.
