(Lunar Rover) The battery-driven car used to extend the sampling capabilities of Apollos 15, 16, and 17. Transported to the Moon in a compact form, the 213-kg Rover was equipped with a remote-controlled television camera and high-gain antenna for direct radio communication with Earth.
