Moreno Jacob Moreno Jacob (1890-1974) Austrian-born, US psychologist who developed early forms of PSYCHOTHERAPY- psychodrama and sociodrama - which involve role-playing to act out troublesome emotions and relationships. Psychodrama may take place only between the person and therapist, or in groups when several or all members of the group may role-play The more usual term for group role-playing is sociodrama (see also GROUP THERAPY). Moreno also developed the technique of SOCIOMETRY. |
