Labor Roll

in the USSR from 1926 to 1938, a document in which information on employment in state institutions and in cooperative and social organizations was recorded. Labor rolls and copies of rolls may serve as proof of an employee’s length of service. After the introduction of labor books, labor rolls were no longer used.
