Ogurchinskii

an island in the southeastern part of the Caspian Sea, in the Turkmen SSR, forming the western boundary of the Turkmen Gulf. The island, a narrow strip of land extending from north to south, has an area of approximately 45 sq km. Its terrain is low-lying, with low sandy hillocks overgrown with grass and brush. There is a fishery on the island.
