Li Keqiang,
1955–, Chinese political leader. He became a member of the Communist party while performing manual labor in the countryside during the Cultural RevolutionCultural Revolution,1966–76, mass mobilization of urban Chinese youth inaugurated by Mao Zedong in an attempt to prevent the development of a bureaucratized Soviet style of Communism.

(1998–2003) and chaired the Henan people's congress (2003–5) and Liaonong people's congress (2005–7). , 1942–, Chinese political leader, b. Tianjin. Originally a geologist, he worked for the Gansu provincial geological bureau (1968–82), where he was the head of its political section, and rose to deputy director general.
