[′lüd·ē·ō‚vī·rəs] (virology) A genus of plant viruses in the family Luteoviridae that is characterized by icosahedral particles containing one molecule of linear, positive-sense, single-stranded ribonucleic acid, barley yellow dwarf virus is the type species. Also known as barley yellow dwarf virus group.
