Ladani, Anna Mikhailovna
Born Dec. 14, 1914, in the village of Velikie Luchki, in present-day Mukachevo Raion, Transcarpathian Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Team leader at the V. I. Lenin Kolkhoz in Mukachevo Raion (since 1947), twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1949, 1958). Became a member of the CPSU in 1950.
Ladani’s team is noteworthy for the large harvests it has obtained. In 1948 it achieved an average of 26.2 centners of sunflowers per hectare (ha) for 10 ha. It grew 102.2 centners of corn per ha (15 ha) in 1957, 115.3 centners (15 ha) in 1960, 110.2 centners (25 ha) in 1968, and 112.3 centners (25 ha) in 1969.
Ladani was a delegate to the Twenty-second Congress of the CPSU and to the Twenty-first through Twenty-fourth Congresses of the Communist Party of the Ukraine. She was a member of the Auditing Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Ukraine from 1956 to 1971 and a deputy to the first through seventh convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR. She has been awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, a medal, and gold and silver medals of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition.
